Recording

Why record at GateHouse?

A common mistake many bands make is taking the cheaper option of recording at a home studio or expecting to record 10 tracks in a single day. If you are serious about your music and want to get your band on the next rung of the ladder then you need to be realistic: budget for that recording which will get you noticed and start thinking about why you’re the next big thing. First impressions are everything to the A&R folk at the big time labels, give them something to love when they hear your tracks.

We can help you out with a top quality fully recorded/mixed studio demo at a great price. We’re also here to offer advice and industry contacts to help you get that bit further.
Recording starts at £140 per day including engineer

Craig Daws - Engineer/Producer

serratededgeproductions
Craig is a producer/engineer who specialises in working with Metal/Death Metal/Grindcore/Hard Rock bands.
Craig got into music production through recording his own band Ventflow. He became interested in the whole recording process, from seeking the perfect tones to encouraging inspiring performances from the musicians involved. He started off by recording at home and in his garage, helping out a local band, 51 Wreckin’ Crew, with their first EP. He also produced the last Ventflow EP however they never got to release it as the band got signed shortly after uploading one of the songs from it to the MySpace page. The label required Ventflow to record a full length album, which is when he started working at GateHouse Studios. The debut album Terrorsiah which Craig produced was released in August and is currently enjoying some rave reviews.
